He promised that His Father will care and does care for our every need and will supply what we need - not necessarily what we want...

Jesus also said we will have trouble in this life but that we can have peace amidst the trouble and overcome. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” - John 16:33

He wants us, not to live a trouble free life, but to live without the fear and anxiety that drives us to do crazy things to feel secure and significant by 'storing up riches on earth'.
