Under Construction: God is at work in you (like it or not;)

"for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. - Philippians 2:13 (NIV)
SALVATION
Isn't this the best news second to salvation? When we are born again we enter into the Father's House, Kingdom of God. This divine work of grace is called salvation. We have received eternal life and we shall never die! That's the first Good news. We are a New Creation in Christ (2 Cor 5:17).

SANCTIFICATION
Now we need purification from sin rooted in us. The process of sanctification, as it is called. This is the daily work of God in us to transform us into the likeness of Jesus Christ, the Son. This "spiritual" condition is also called the carnal man or flesh, which is the Old self that needs to die.

This is the real challenging news as a disciple of Jesus: As long as we are alive in our earthly body, there will be a struggle between our New and Old nature - the Old Man and the New Man.

"So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! - Romans 7:21-25

Read more details of this struggle in Romans chapter 7 and then the exciting positive news in Romans 8!
