Every detail of our lives is continually woven together for good

Peter W. Guess

seed-faith, god is sovereign

Just notice those two words, "ALL THINGS" in the NIV translation below. Not some things or that God selects the best things to shape and bless us. NO! He means that "all things" are woven together in His plans for us.

Is this not mind-blowing? Why would God do this? How would God be involved in such detail in our lives? But the truth is that God says a resounding "YES" to being a miracle-working God.

This humbles me and re-directs me to praise Him for all the miracles, both seen and unseen. This Scripture indicates that there are far more behind-the-scenes miracles that we are clueless about! It means also that every day, for the disciple who loves Jesus, is a miracle day and that we should become hyper-vigilant to detect these minute-by-minute, day-by-day miracles.

Every detail of our lives is continually woven together for good
"So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together for good, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose. Romans 8:28 TPT

The Wider Context
"Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good. Romans 8:28 MSG

"We know that God works to help those people who love him. He uses everything that happens to them to bring something good. He does this for those people that he has chosen to serve him. Romans 8:28 EASY

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 NIV

Please join me in praise and great expectation...
