EASTER SOUL SEARCH...

Here are the only real options as we enter Easter. Jesus Christ - Lord, Liar or Lunatic? Investigate and decide...

To make the decision we have to ask several pertinent questions.

Did Jesus rise from the dead? Is Christ alive? If you can prove that Jesus didn’t rise from the dead, then the foundation for the Christian Faith would forever be destroyed. So you must make sure you have all the facts!

Paul begins the argument in chapter 15 of 1 Corinthians. He reviews the message of the Gospel, setting the scene for powerful arguments as to why the resurrection is the cornerstone of the  Christian faith. No resurrection, no faith. No resurrection and thus Jesus was either a liar or a lunatic.

"Friends, let me go over the Message with you one final time—this Message that I proclaimed and that you made your own; this Message on which you took your stand and by which your life has been saved.  1 Corinthians 15:1 (MSG)

"If there’s no resurrection, there’s no living Christ. And face it—if there’s no resurrection for Christ, everything we’ve told you is smoke and mirrors, and everything you’ve staked your life on is smoke and mirrors. 1 Corinthians 15:12 (MSG)

"And if Christ weren’t raised, then all you’re doing is wandering about in the dark, as lost as ever... If all we get out of Christ is a little inspiration for a few short years, we’re a pretty sorry lot. 1 Corinthians 15:16 (MSG)

This takes me to the next point. As followers of Christ, we owe it to ourselves and others who ask about our faith to know the facts that give solid, convincing evidence of the resurrection. Facts that will help you enter into a deep and meaningful discussion with someone seeking the truth.

We call this field of conversation apologetics - able to discuss and defend our faith and provide proof that our faith is valid and that Christ is able to save the world, person-by-person.
