The doors to the Kingdom of God are wide open to the poor in spirit, but He resists those with pride and arrogance who think they do not need the Source of All Life - Jesus Christ our Master.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalms 34:18 (NIV)
