Joy Comes In The Morning

joy, depression

The cycles of life.
From birth to death.
New birth to eternal life.
From sadness and tears to joy.
From deep suffering to ecstasy and glory.

We cannot escape the realities of the Cycles of Life - some have called it the Circle of Life, which I like.

Yesterday a friend told me about his friend's plan and extreme actions to live to the age of 180. My friend said it seemed mainly about ego and not just longevity.

It sounds to me a lot more like "playing God"! Reminding me of the Tower of Babel a narrative in Genesis 11:1–9, a desperate attempt to try to outwit God?

This man is practicing healthy diets, exercise regimes, mind practices and some very questionable actions to equip him for the future survival plan - against the expected life-cycle average of +70 years old. Is this really about a scientific experiment or ego?

He is trying to outsmart our current reality on earth...

And yet, for all on earth, life and joy will be followed by death and sadness. For Jesus People, sadness, suffering and tears will turn into joy.

We may scoff at this man's intentions. The question is what plans are you making in preparing for eternity? Do you believe there is an afterlife? If so, what will your destiny be? Do you have any say in this? Any choice in this matter?

Jesus Christ says a resounding "YES" to your question. You can choose either death or life.

"... whoever will believe in Him will have eternal life." John 3: 16.

Choose life, by accepting Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord. Today!

You have no idea when you will face your coming judgement or the return of Jesus to earth.

Jesus is coming soon - sooner than we think.

"His anger lasts only a moment, his goodness for a lifetime. Tears may flow in the night, but joy comes in the morning." Psalm 30:5 (GNT)

"All you saints! Sing your hearts out to GOD! Thank him to his face! He gets angry once in a while, but across a lifetime there is only love. The nights of crying your eyes out give way to days of laughter." Psalms 30:4-5 MSG
