Never Give Up. Keep Asking, Seeking, Knocking. The Door Will Open!

prayer, trust

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. - Matthew 7:7 (NIV)

Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. - Matthew 7:7 (Amplified version)

Don’t bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This isn’t a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we’re in. If your child asks for bread, do you trick him with sawdust? If he asks for fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? As bad as you are, you wouldn’t think of such a thing. You’re at least decent to your own children. So don’t you think the God who conceived you in love will be even better? - Matthew 7:7-11 (The Message)

Sometimes I struggle to ask because my faith is low or non-existent. Other times I'm reluctant to ask because I don't feel worthy and deserving. This is false thinking!

Jesus taught us to pray and ask God directly and specifically to meet our needs or needs in the world and trust Him to do it. The Father advances His Kingdom through us - through our prayers. So, ASK. SEEK. KNOCK.

Our Father is waiting to give good gifts to those who belong to Him. His children! And to spread His love into the world and demonstrate His power!
