Why Does God Care About You?

The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing. - Zephaniah 3:17
Why does God care? Why does he constantly seek us out in our depraved state? Why, when we keep getting lost like sheep, does he leave the 99 in search of the one rebel, tyrant? What is it in us that God wants to sing about - what's there to sing about anyway?

God answers these Old Testament mysteries when he took on the form of man, came in empathy, compassion and love to reveal the true and full heart of the Father God. And demonstrate it in the sacrificial offering of the Lamb for our sin...

Stories of the Good Shepherd, the Prodigal Father and the message of "our Father" reveal, in the times of Jesus, the new revelation that God is indeed a very personal, caring and loving father to us all and that his heart yearns for closeness with us.

And that his heart breaks when we get hurt, sin and walk away and so when we return there is a massive festival of singing in the Father's heart over us and all heaven celebrates the lost, wounded and rebel child has returned. A really BIG party! This is the heart of a Father over a child. The Father rejoices "over you with singing."
