What is Repentance?

Repentance as a maths formula could be depicted as the following:
Awareness of our sins +

Awareness of our need for God +

Confession of our sins to God +

Turning away from our former life to follow God's Kingdom-way +

Changing our behaviour =

Repentance

Let me be clear. According to Jesus' message and the New Testament, repentance simply brings us to our knees and opens us to recieve the FREE Gift of God's salvation... "not of works so that no man could boost..."

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8 NIV

Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God. Matthew 3:8 (NLT)
