What is Love?
What is Love?
When Jesus was asked "who is my neighbour", Jesus told the story of the good Samaritan who helped a Jewish man who was robbed and beaten and left for dead. A Jewish priest and a Levite had refused to help and just passed by. Luke 10:25-37
"It is also important to know that Jesus’ audience was mainly Jews, and Samaritans and Jews generally despised each other. This historical context adds more meaning and value to this story."
The moral of the story is?
1."Put aside your differences and help those who are in need of help. The Samaritan did not think about the race or the religion of the man; he just saw a man who needed help."
2. "People who we think might help us in need may not always be there for us."
