The Big Trap!
abundant life, abundance, freedom
The Big Trap!
Hi everyone! To kick-start this devotional I want to put in context just why I love today's verses.
Months ago, as shared before, I was walking by Zandvlei Lake, across the road, listening to Christian music on Spotify.
The song hit me: "When I taste your goodness, I shall not want.".
Then the *song listed many of the things I need to be delivered from, things as " fear of having nothing", "the fear of being lonely", "the fear of death or trial" and much more.

It hit me very hard. Very hard, in the pit of my stomach. But in a healing way...
I really don't need all the things I fuss and agonise about. He is all-sufficient. "The Lord is my Shepherd, and that's all I need - and want..."
Out of this heart-place, God can add or remove the things, people and places that are best for us. This shakes us. Turns our world upside down.
"Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see— how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him. Psalms 34:8 MSG
"Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Psalms 34:8 (NIV)
