Don't Just Listen, Apply The Word & Take Action

The Word holds up a mirror to our lives to shape us and conform us to the image of Christ.

At times this can be very confrontational, as He invites us to change. At other times it's painful, as Christ reaches in and does some healing.

The Holy Spirit does this process always in deep compassionate love and for the bigger picture - His Kingdom here now and to be.

I am reminded that Christ creates and re-creates by His Word.

Let's welcome the work He wants to do in us.

"But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like." James 1:22-24 (NLT)
