All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6 KJV

"Christ have mercy. Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy. Lord have mercy on us..."

[This is an old prayer (or chant) I often say, which I learnt in one of the traditional churches - either the Catholic or Anglican church.] It brings me to a profound place of humility, gratitude and praise as I contemplate what Christ has done, for you, for me. I have been praying this prayer, for many years dating back to the 70s. I pray it when I am in emotional pain. I pray it when I see my sin. I pray it when I walk or sit or in quiet meditation. I pray it when I feel lost and sad. I pray it as I see my Lord in agony for me.
